Waiting for love, while enjoying God, heaven, and earth - a rhyming poem.
That taste for soulful union,
So shattered and destroyed,
Has left us truly bitter,
Quite withered and devoid;
A counterfeit, brute ledger,
That simply won't add up,
Has left us cruelly drinking
From a cold and empty cup.

But proud from His sweet mercy,
And in His gloried grace,
We're positioned rather coolly,
To finish this great race;
Now our heels are clicking,
And we're duly headed home -
Love is quite the dream divine,
And on this earth we'll roam.

The nickels and the blessed dimes,
The truth that they impart,
Say Jesus Christ, Our Gallant Lord,
Gives love a brand new start.
For smiles that we might truly gain
From webs we try to weave,
Though simply quaint and proper
Show gifts, from Him, we leave.
