Random thoughts one night while gazing at the stars.
I gaze up into the infinite distance
That my finite mind cannot fathom
Those majestic heavens instill my soul
With a boyish wonder that longs to know
Cosmic mysteries and endless possibilities
Nature at it's purest, vast and dangerous
Deep and endless, the edges unknown
My spirit cries out to see all its beauty
All of it's perils, all of it's glory
That Space and it's purpose
It's callous disregard for what man perceives
Only knowing that it's all connected
Has a meaning far greater
Than we are allowed to know
Than we can ever possibly know
It's awareness of itself and of us
Nature and Time the parents of us all
