trees dropping their leaves in the fall
The trees stand with pride
as their leaves slowly slide to the ground
flaunting their colors all around.

My husband and I stand in awe
of the quaint New England town
sKnowing winter is on it's way.

We watch the squirrels gathering nuts
tucking them into the puffy cheeks
then scampering off to hide them.

The smell of the wood burning stoves
wafting smells to our nose
Love is all around us.
