A short poem I wrote for my Grandmother.
Grandmother: A Woman Often Taken for Granted.
By David F. Garner

Grandmother, what a wonderful word,
It rings exuberance, haven't you heard?
Grandmother, what a precious gift,
She is always giving, but often kissed?
Grandmother, what a lovely jewel,
Worth more than gold, what a fool!
Grandmother, what a sweet sound,
As it evokes memories, let her applause resound!
Grandmother, what a patient soul,
How shall I thank her, with praise tenfold!
Grandmother, what a lifelong joy,
If ever I lost her, what love would I employ?
