Easter’s Calling
By johnny bubba

Easter is here
What an exhilarating time of year
But the rain it always falls
From the hills I hear them call
The voices that I hear
Are they real? Are they here?
The voices call to me
Saying do it and be free
I think in my mind
I know it is time
To pull the plug on Easter day
To make them see and make them say
It’s time for you to sail in the sky
There you can fly
From a mountain top in the cliffs
Where there you know your spirits lift
Easter says you can come back
But in you a spirit lacks
You feel so ashamed
You know you will be blamed
But Easter can be the day
That you spirit flies away.
