I am currently losing all my hope in the world.
How do we survive and thrive in a world so full of hurt and confusion? Do we think to ourselves that the poverty of the world isn't our problem as we sip from our iced trenta nonfat chai with two pumps of pumpkin from Starbucks? Do we watch people struggle and laugh at the people who didn't have all the advantages you did? Why do we find it so hard to help people in the world and give them so much as a chance? We judge people before they even speak, only based on their clothes and hair.
"OMG did you see the shoes she was wearing today? My brother has the same ones. He's ten."
Why is this more okay to some people than helping at a homeless shelter or giving a hungry person food?
We live in a world of hate. Until people become okay with the thought of helping people instead of looking down their nose at them, nothing will get better.
