Poem about the tragedy of war

Peace and warfare

Brutally killed were the two brothers,

Lying side by side, as enemies of each other’s;

Little did they know they were warriors,

And they were supposed to be nothing but war-mongers…

What was peace?

When did they have eternal bliss?

Was it when their mother last time kissed?

Was it the love and affection they have as yet missed?

Cherishing were they the memories of past;

When they suddenly heard a sound of bomb blast!!

Their memories and feelings died a sorrowful death,

Nobody but their near and dear ones wept.

How many lives will it cost to bring peace instead of war?

When will people really seem to care?

And when should they learn it has been really very unfair?
