A poem all about the Donington park motor racing circuit. (Poem 4)
Donington

Start to finish you will go
take Redgate corner nice and slow,
follow through to Hollywood
downhill fast, past Craner curves.

The Old hairpin is a risk!
speed uphill to Starkeys bridge,
next Schwantz curve is a whizz
Mcleans comes up lickity split.

Onto Coppice which you take quite fast
down the straight fast, fast, fast,
zoom past a place for you can be exhibited,
then past the point where Dunlop bridge existed.

Now to choose short circuit or long?
if you go short, roberts is the one.
but if you go for long
then it's Fogarty's esses you must take on.

If your choice was to go short
then Wheatcroft straight for you awaits,
for waiting halfway down this straight
is the chequered flag with first place.

But if your choice was the way of the esses
then the Melbourne hairpin you must contest
up to Goddards, go round smoothly
go past the pits, chequered flag to the win.
