A mystical, mythical

Land of Cloud

floats serene amongst

the festival of colours

...pink mauve and orange.

As the setting sun

gives rise to the Moon

the creamy stars begin to dot

the dusky night sky.

The Big Shiny Star

rises first from its horizon-bed

followed by a smaller second one...

smaller, yet still bright

the third arrives...

and more and more...

until the Big Dipper

scoops up the Star-Milk

and splashes it

across the sky

creating a splendid display

never before seen

by the harsh glare

of a city bathed in artificial lights.

Orange Crescent Moon

begins high in the sky

until it sinks

behind the sun

A challenging act to follow

as it dazzles the watchers

on the shore.

Yes, it is now Moonset!

The crescent moon is chasing

after the noble glorious sun...

We are left behind to admire a sky

whose very darkness makes it possible

for the beauteous, eternal stars

to shine.
