I Had a Little Puppy

I had a little puppy.
As cute as cute could be,
And on my little puppy,
There lived a little flea.

The flea was very happy,
My puppy kept him warm
One night my little puppy,
Got caught out in a storm.

The wind and rainy weather
Washed out the little flea,
No longer on my puppy
He hung out on a tree.

The next day it was sunny,
The flea's spirit was bright,
There sat my little puppy,
Much to the flea's delight.

I have a little puppy,
As cute as cute can be,
And on my little puppy,
Still lives the little flea.
