A letter to the woman I love
It's time to address the current state of my life,
I can't say that I felt hurt, I can't live like nothing happened at all.
Communication is a powerful tool that builds bridges and skyscrapers,
And that same tool is something that we superficially had.

I was young and didn't think things through,
My attraction to you was the very reason I courted you.
Ours was a story with a weak foundation to begin with,
But It grew to be something else, something even better,
then it crumbled and withered away.

Woman, never blame yourself, let me carry the burden.
I only want what's best for you, even if it means cutting our strings.
If you don't think we can never repair things then I will support you,
If that is how you'll find happiness then so be it.

I can never figure out how the two of us worked,
because I never really understood myself.
Know that I want the best for you, I want you to be happy.
So now I will just hide myself from the world.
