Rhyming poem about daring to be brave enough to find love.
To be noticed by this girl, he so yearned.
Within him a fiery love for her burned.
Both too young, by her he was rudely spurned.
To keep his emotions guarded, he learned.

For years he did conceal what filled his heart,
avoiding rejection, which he thought smart.
Loving relationships he would not start.
Potential mates and he always did part.

He grew cynical from life lived alone.
All hope for happiness he felt he’d blown.
Slowly his heart became hard as a stone.
He expected to die with love unknown.

Then one woman’s eyes locked his in a stare.
Love between them burned as hot as a flare.
Soon they knew happiness beyond compare.
To find love one has to trust … and to dare.
