Some things never fade
Gone

Gone but not forgotten
You’re never far away
With echoes joint, begotten
Out in fields, they do play
Play amidst the meadows
In flora’s purple shade
In amethyst the wind blows
Where memories were made
Made to last, to measure
Beyond the time you shone
Times that we still treasure
Even more so since you’ve gone
Gone but not forgotten
Six sad years, we reconcile
Wrapped in echoes, woollen, cotton
Though now… they bring a smile
