One of the first of (hopefully) many works I'll start posting here.
My lungs are cold and empty
My beating heart lies still
My blood trickling aplenty
A void it could fill
Running down scarred arms.

Hung upon my own cross
Self-flagellating wounds
No darkness to hide this naked dross
To eternal damnation was I doomed
Until you found me.

Lift me off my Heathen's perch
Bind my arms in silken threads
Of your heartstrings to gently urge
A soft touch that embeds
The breath of life in me.

Warm lips pressed against mine
Breathing deep into me
Blue-grey eyes suddenly shine
Nothing hidden I can see
Call my name.

Leading my spirit home
Wake me up inside
My soul no more to roam
Tears of joy I have cried
Breathe into me and make me feel.
