Six sentence story
Studying the snow-shrouded hills bordering the village, Millie made her decision.

She was going to walk for as long as it took to escape the nightmare.

"Millie," the thick voice wafted from somewhere behind her, "it's time to come home."

Terror jerked forth from behind her sternum, reverberating through her body and shocking all of her senses into hyper alertness.

Without glancing back she flew down the road, numb to the jagged rocks that pierced her skin.

The figure bent down and picked up the scruffy teddy-bear lying on the road, brought it to his face, and began to stagger after her.
