How it all starts.
He was afraid to go to sleep for he was unsure if the same man would wake up the next morning.

He looked at the clock at the bottom right corner of the desktop and sighed.

After the eighth snooze, he crawled out of the bed and went through the motions.

At ten he was at the desk and frantically tapping away, his face blank and throat dry.

At one he fed his body.

At four his eyes disobeyed him and he looked at her and his heart pounded.

At six he zipped the bag and left.

* * *

He closed his eyes and observed closely the new man.

Interesting, thought he.

He was a clone of the previous one, but different.

The different man looked at the bottom right corner of the desktop.

He sighed.
