I fight the battle as I lose the war, The truth of my demons always comes back.

Down upon
This throat
Pressure
Relentless
The perfection
Madness
In balance
Somehow
I’m standing
An upright whore
Convicted
To and within
Himself alone
Long since
I have had to learn
To live with this
A war of conscience
Is what I am fighting
The battle
Is more than predicted
Lesser of a man
I am pointing to God
As I am screaming
Towards hell below
These words
My very ideas
All of them
Increasingly
Being made
Pointless
Ineffectively
Feckless
Nonetheless
Each ounce
Of victimization
Is incremental
Thus monumental
Self-reflected
I see who
What they are
Just as I do myself
Because all animals
Are creatures
Made into beast
In this suffering
We’ve become
Closer than one
Most understand
And if they don’t
I act as if they do
A war of conscience
The blade
Always resting
At the nape
Ready
When I deem fit
To end all of this
There is a fight
Within me
Outside of me
Two worlds
Crash into one
A war of conscience
Increasingly
Unconscionable
All of this is mine
A manifested destiny
Via a manufactured
Personal crisis
Long since over
Many demons
Do I have
Animals
Turned creatures
Made into beast
Wishing me harm
Monsters
Fashioned via words
Inspired from ideas
Based off factual events
Long before here and now
I’ve become incapable
Never could I deal
I am unequipped
The tools required
Stolen
Ripped from these hands
Raped from this heart
A war of conscience
A battle to be fought
But realistically
Unwinnable
Those quite close
And those far away
Increasingly flee
Leaving me be
In a prison of words
In a jail of the absurd
Closer to alone
At all times I seem
But the truth I fear
Is more complicated
Than being here
In this place
In this shape
Fighting this battle
Losing this war
All by myself…
