How can calling me in my actual name hurt this much?
Everyone is packing up
Getting ready to leave
I heard you say goodbye
To one and all then to me
“Goodbye, Dani”
I froze
Dani?
Don’t seem to comprehend
Forced to sound casual, I speak
“Goodbye, Rito”

I felt something weakened my system
I heard that right, I know
I know.
I’ve heard.
Suddenly, something’s wrong with my throat
I want to run
Fast
As fast as I could
Be anywhere
Be somewhere
Apart from here
I wish I could
But my body can’t move
I can’t seem to watch you go

Something is messing up with my eyes
I can’t see the objects around me clearly
Everything starts to blur
No! Here it comes again
A very familiar sensation for the last few months
I’m good at holding it, though
I think
I thought

Now, you’re out of my sight
But it still lingers
“Goodbye, Dani”
Dani? Dani.
You called me in my actual name
It sounded strange
Everybody knows why
And we both know why, Rito
We both know, best buddy.
It never crossed my mind that, you, calling me in my actual name would hurt this much.
