The narrator in this poem of 77 words recalls his muse for inspiration.

The Benign

I have taken out
the diary and the pen.
I wish to
write something
on the blank
pages.
It has been days
after all.

Even if you are not
on talking terms
with me...
who knows
you may agree to
be my inspiration
and be scribbled down
on the blank leafs
of my diary
in the form of letters
which may form a couplet,
or, may be,
a complete ghazal.

Who knows
how benign
you
would be?
