A dark poem about loneliness
 Walls  (E)
A dark poem about loneliness
#2102619 by Chris Breva

Alone I sit and watch the walls close in
Feeling isolated, scared, and weak
I need somebody that I can hold
Somebody who even to argue with
Yet I have only Me, Myself, and I
That committee in my head
That so often drives people insane
And even puts them in an early grave.

These are my daily companions now
As I sit in total solitude
Afraid I awake each day anew
knowing I have to be alone once more
Yet in my mind is that eternal light
That hope awaits around the bend.
