Lest you forget the past, for if you do, then you shall be - in the future - doomed.
Did Scipio defeat Hannibal in a day?
or did the desert desert the elephants?
Nay - good madam - nay, I say!
For when the cavalry flew, so did sediments!

Did the ink drip down on the parchment?
or did Socrates weep when given the cup?
Nay - good sir - nay, I say!
For only God knows if death bests life!

Did the Ancients forget to be forgotten?
or did they hold on to their faults?
Nay - My Lord - nay, I say!
Nor will you be forgotten, lest you forget the past!!!
