She felt the breath burn in her lungs; her blood ran as if acid were in her veins, there was no time to stop today. It was worse than she'd imagined but determination was something she had never lacked. The road came into sight, a bright blue, her favourite colour, came into view through the trees; she knew it would be ok, Tom was waiting by his car, she wouldn't see her family again.
