A poem of joy in the midst of trouble. Still a work in progress.
Joy In the Mourning

Oh how things change
When one surrenders all.
Calming peace and joy
Come from nowhere, it seems.

Who can explain this?
When lives seem so torn
Heartache is everywhere
And yet joy can still be found.

Amidst the rubble of lies and hate
Too many of us can surely relate.
But songs of joy and peace
Bring hope for a better tomorrow.

From whence did these come?
What hope can be seen?
Life is not what it should be,
Yet still I choose to sing.
