Making Friends

I had to write this with a partner for "Retired Founder, Rising Stars Program" . I thought it would be fun to write with a newbie, so I met my new friend, wykedcrafty for this project.

wykedcrafty is in orange and Schnujo is Late to Lannister is in blue.

Alone, alone, I'm alone today.
I think I'll go out into the fray.
I'll find a friend or meet one new.
Or if I'm lucky, meet a few.
"Come be my friend" is what I'll say.

Sometimes we all have a friend we need,
But where do we find them, when we read?
I have to laugh when I want to talk,
but my boyfriend tells me to go for a walk.
This day I'll find a friend indeed!

Out I will go, quick as a spark.
I'll find a friend, perhaps at the park.
I'll look and I'll ask each one that I see,
"Will you be my friend? Yes, you by the tree."
I'll find me a friend well before dark.

I heard a voice ask something about a tree.
I giggled and asked, "Did you just talk to me?"
Jumping up from my spot I peeked around,
A new friend was walking across the grounds.
"Hello and Hi there!" I waved too excitedly.
