A poem for a friend
Through the sun and storm

You've been there for me,
Through the storm and sun.
I could never pay you back
Those good things you've done.

You saw the monster in me,
But you didn't run away.
You saw a chance for friendship.
I am sure it made you stay.

I am doomed to live in prison,
I am doomed to die this way.
But if I see you on the other side,
I hope, even then, you will stay.
