Inner Peace

I am alone, lost at a crossroad

I close my eyes

Take a deep, calming breath

Let my mind drift off to a peaceful place

His hands are on my shoulders

My heartbeat slows

Fears and worries drift away

I feel safe, comfortable, at home

He is sitting beside me, bodies melded as one

I know that I can tell him anything

No judgment or condescension will come from it

I am fearless of any troubles that I may face

He could be miles away, a world away

Still I feel his presence

Knowing that I am never alone

Gives me the strength to find my path, wherever it may lead
