we do not need to be burdened by the world... save what we need to survive
Earthly Bonds

I’m tired with the greed of this earth,
All I need is what I was given at birth,
These terrestrial objects I leave behind,
So that I may find some peace of mind.

So I cast aside these earthly burdens of men,
With the determined intent of my soul to win,
But there simply are some things that I need,
have water to drink and food for me to feed

Except…
I cannot go without drink and I must feed,
Obviously some clothing if I am to proceed,
I’ll need a shelter; four bedrooms will do,
But not something awful, I’ll need it new.
Furthermore…
What do I do with all my earthly downtime?
As you guessed it; no TV would be a crime.
But seriously, I will need nothing more,
…maybe with a screen from ceiling to floor.
