The joys of winter.
I walk in the snow,
stomping down the deep drifts,
Sneakers for my shoes.

Wishing I had boots,
though I had too little time,
nor did I even care.

Snow is much too deep,
small pieces slip in my shoes,
socks absorb the chill

Why did I even?
I still have much farther to walk,
the cold doesn't fade.

A foolish mistake I now have made,
my feet ache from the bitter cold.
