The gradual loss of a friend
A Haiku Sonnet

When the mind is lost
In a sea of confusion
A battle begins

The question is asked
Why do these thoughts slip away?
Leaving voids, spaces.

Where is the spirit
I once knew, the lively, bright
Soul, adventurer

Who never gave up.
The disappearance complete
She stands before me

Yet she isn't there
The friend I once knew
