I still remember her. I promise someone will remember you, too.
It’s been two years
Hasn’t it?
Two years since I’ve
Spoken
And Laughed with you.
It’s been two years
Since the last
“I love you”
Like we weren’t too young.
I was just a boy
And you were just a girl
It was bound to be, wasn’t it?
Yet here I stand
With my lips pressed against another
Without you.
It’s been two years since I’ve told you everything
Two years since I’ve seen that smile.
Two years since I’ve regretted not saying goodbye.
It’s too late, isn’t it?
It’s been two years
And I haven’t told you how much you meant to me.
I was wrapped around your finger
When you left.
You left me.
No…
You left the world.
The lips I once thought about
Are now cold and rotten.
Your body lies in some unknown tomb
In a place I’ll never get the chance to see
Since two years ago
There was a fucking screen
Separating you
Us
And me.
I was struggling with my own thoughts
That i didn’t notice yours
Your demons
But you tried your best on the battlefield
You lost.
You lost and now I’m sitting here
Writing this two years later.
Two years that you broke a promise.
A promise to see
And feel for the first time,
No technology
Can be in between.
But hope is gone
Because you're gone.
You lost.
Two years ago you lost
And the only thing keeping you from me
Is six feet of dirt.
Six feet hurts more than the miles.
While I’ve loved others in two years,
There was no replacment.
None at all.
You were a friend,
Someone I loved
Maybe a bit too much.
We were too young.
You...
You were too young.
Now you're gone
And I still miss you.
Maybe not as much as I did two years ago
But I feel it there.
And as my friend,
My old friend,
I won't ever forget you.
