A time in my life when I was not too well
Who are you looking back at me
Why don't I see what others see?
You hide behind that stupid grin
never letting others in.

Whispering voices that you hear
make you keep your secrets near.
Let go, shout and scream
tell them what you really mean.

What do you mean, do you even know,
Which tunnel, which road, which way to go?
Tremors in the dark, panic in the light
when did your mind drop out of sight?

Lost recognition leaves your soul to beg
does my life has purpose? It does, they said.
Surely it's braver to admit the pain
leaving the fog to live again.

Who are you looking back at me?
I WANT to see what others see.
Clawing down that stupid grin
I'll start crying and let them in.
