For his love is so strong
“Oh Cupid, oh Cupid, oh Cupid!”
Is what I hear from the living room.
I follow the voice to my wife
Looking lovely in the light of the afternoon.

“What is it, my dear, what is wrong?”
I ask in curiosity and worry.
“Sing to me, sing me your song.”
I get my harp and think of the lyrics
My memory a little bit blurry.
I sang my melody and sang it my best
The words of the songs rumbling from my chest.
She sways from side to side enjoying my lullaby
How can I be so blessed?

For my beloved is so beautiful
We are puzzle pieces, a perfect fit.
My life is so love-filled
It’s hard to believe it.
