An ode to the human elements that make or break us
Elements

Like sparks across a wire
We try to find some ground
Some earth, wind, water, fire
We pray the parts are found
The elements that make us
Scattered in our sins
A jigsaw's cut, it takes us
Deep beneath our skins
Places we've avoided
Faces long forgot
Spaces dark and sordid
Forgiven are our lots
As tapestries conspire
To weave the pieces through
That static on the wire
Through a needle's eye, it views
In and out the fabric
The other side and back
A needle pierce, tragic
It finds the things we lack
Stitched panels into quilting
Electrified, it's thread
Internal flaws are built in
To focus on instead
With voltage down the wire
Electric to the touch
Earth, wind , water, fire
… sometimes its all too much
