A poem that I wrote. Inspired by something that was forgotten, but I will always remember.
Sitting in my room I'm reminded of another year
A time where I didn't know your wounds
A time where I didn't know your fear

Sitting in your room you say you hate to sleep alone
All too eager I grant your request
All too eager I embrace the unknown

Sitting in my room I'm reminded of another time
When you wrapped all sheets around you
When you made no sleep sublime

Sitting in our room we slumber side by side
Where I whisper to you softly
Where I love you and confide

Sitting in my room I'm reminded of a dream
A dream where sheets are stolen
A dream with a beautiful gleam

Sitting in my room thinking of what had grown
I remember there once was something
I remember that I too hate to sleep alone
