A short love poem
Let me hold you.
I want to stand behind you,
My arms wrapped around your waist,
My head kissing the side of your neck as you smile and roll your eyes,
I want to hear your laugh, your voice, every day until I leave.
We'll be separated by state borders when late August arrives,
But until then,
Let me hold you.

Let me whisper and write sweet nothings to you,
I want you to know every word and synonym,
You deserve to know what and when I think of you,
And by when I mean all the time.
I want to be the one to tell you that you truly do cross my mind all day long.
I talk to everyone about you,
They tell me I'm too happy,
Because you have not yet decided to,
Let me whisper and write sweet nothings to you.

Let me give you everything I can offer,
I want you to have everything.
To have my shoulders for your sad and tired days,
You can have my hands to relax your muscles as I massage your neck and shoulders,
My heart is already yours,
But I don't have a lot of money,
Nor physical objects.
But I can give you my body, my soul, and my love,
Let me give you everything I can offer.
