a hobby of mine
As I sit in my truck waiting,
I observe you
twenty-something male
decent looking
Smoking a Tiparillo

You and your companion
are involved separately
in your phones.
Absorbed by technology,
you speak not a word.

You look into your side mirror
and see something you like.
You lean out of the window
and watch yourself smoke
as you check yourself out.

How odd.
Is it important to you
that you look a certain way
to everyone that sees you?
Because to me
you seem silly and narcissistic.
But I'm old & suppose
my opinion doesn't count

Be confident, young man.
Don't bother with what others see.
There are more important things
to worry about.
Especially not the way you look
with a Tiparillo hanging out of your mouth.
