This is my body. It has been stretched, and scarred, bruised, and used.
This is my body.
It has been stretched, and scarred,
bruised, and used.
Stretch marks, cellulite, muffin top,
#nothighgap.

And it is beautiful.
It has embraced life head on,
played in the dirt,
danced with fire
and cracked its bones on ice.
It has created, carried and birthed entire humans
twice.

My body has known soul rending, gut spilling pain
It has known waves of tremulous pleasure crashing to its shore.
This is the body of a real woman...

And so is hers.
The girl who is more bone than flesh, no ass, no tits,
#eatadamnburger
No.
She is beautiful.

You, me, everyone in between,
We are all works of art,
Strikingly different yet still evocative and alluring.
You are ceramics while I am charcoal.
Is Frida Kahlo any less brilliant than Monet,
Van Gogh?

Stand tall,
This is your body, your art -
Own it with love.
