cheating sucks
A sickly sweet serenade of paper-thin promises spill from your mouth,
While the stolen kisses stay tucked safely away in your back pocket
I’m choking back tears and sputtering, blubbering
You’ve reduced me to a fish gaping at the air
Gasping for breath
Clinging to life by a tattered string
About to snap
And unable to comprehend why
This is a bittersweet goodbye
