In loving memory of my mom, Mrs. Mavis Louise McGregor-Simpson.

The moment you passed on
I said goodbye to reality;
Overwhelmed with heartache
Sitting on the margin of sanity.

Up and awake at nights
Thoughts racing off track:
All things coming to memory
Heaping up in stack.

Remembering you is easy
My love made that true
But missing you is hurtful
I will always remember you.

I thought of you daily
But that’s nothing new;
You are always in my heart
Because my love is true.

Your soul is at rest
And your body free from pain
But joy would be mine
If I had you back again.

I miss you mom
You are always in my heart
But this life is cruel
As death pushed us apart.

Remembering you is my motto
With which I will never part;
God has you in heaven
I have you in my heart.
