This is to all the people that feel or have ever felt this way,I feel it too.
Outside
Outside of my family who
Carefully try to keep me in
Outside of my friends who barely even notice
Outside of everyone and anyone who I may cross
some genuinely care, others pretend too
To make themselves feel better.
So, I just smile and they walk away pretending not to see the sadness
Hidden beneath the gesture I
suppose I am only truly accepted and comfortable in my
Mind
As I aimlessly walk the streets of Nowhere, careful
to avoid the corner of Potential because all they will do
Is put a grade on my Talent and critique it as if
That's
even possible, but I embrace
Imagination because it too
Has always been Outside not appreciated by as many people as it should
Be and even tragically ridiculed by some.
But now, No longer
We are both inside together and on our own Terms.
