Sometimes it's not time that heals a wound, but embracing the wound itself.
Darkness, assuage my fears,
As I label each of my demons.
Tie your tender knots around the scars in my heart,
And bind my broken soul in chains.
Shelter me within your boundless embrace,
And replace my tears.
Drown my thoughts in the depths of your serenity;
Singing to me the song of the Midnight Bird,
Until I am renewed.
Sing that I might know, though I walk in solitude,
I am not alone.
Sing the ballad of my kindred spirit,
Lost amongst the willows,
In the lonesome symphony of the night.
