From the proverbs of Solomon.
Broad is the foolishness found in the heart
where shame is our inheritance from birth
Our fathers' children are the crown of old men
a precious stone in the eyes of them

The law of the poor is no richness of life
only snares of evil spread in our sights
To swallow them up, alive as the grave
scorned as we dwell alone in our days

Let not the fire depart from thine eyes
to ponder the path at the feet of the wise
Steps shall not be taken to stumble and hide
from the God we've forsaken to spur our demise

For irreverent fear of the Lord is our sin
unprepared for the spiritual blessings within
Our righteous perfection of the wicked will shine
and receive the glory and grace that is thine
