A humourous poem that has rhythm and cadence structured in
Upon the bread,
A sea of red,
Like the mouse that was dead,
In the trap by the bed,
It’s whiskers all a quiver.

Pepperoni stank,
Like that old fish tank,
We left by the bank,
Where we sat and we thank,
Down by that tired old river.

The cheese was so greasy,
Like your mum’s chips and peasy,
Which we ate like t’was easy,
On a tray on our kneesy,
As she watched us until we did wither.

Jalapenos so firey,
My mouth felt so wiry,
It burned like papyry,
I noted in my diary,
While my tongue felt no better than liver.

My ears were ringing,
And Angels were singing,
As I saw you were bringing,
The glass that was brimming,
With a drink that might make me slimmer.

We laughed and we cried,
Like we’d never have died,
But we’d tried and we’d tried,
And no matter we’d lied,
That pizza was never a winner.
