what happened to the old outhouse
Ode to the outhouse.

The outhouse stands abandoned up there upon the hill,
No one ever goes there now and maybe never will.
Many hours of contemplation we’ve spent perched upon the seat,
now the door stands open, hinges broken, the inside dark and dank.
The outhouse stands abandoned since we installed the septic tank.
