A poem of wishes...of hope...of asking to just, be.
Be my person
Be the one I run to when my world
collapses around me
The one I think of first when
goodness has found me
Be my person
The one to understand the craziness
that fills me
But stays around knowing that there's
more that defines me
Traversing the ups and downs,
knowing that what we have is built to last
My person
And I'll be yours
Spending my life ensuring that what is
ours is whole
Showing our children a sight to behold
Knowing a person can be theirs alone
Be my person and I'll be yours...
