A girl is lost playing hide and seek- 28 lines 175 words
She got lost in the castle.
She thought she was going to her room
but instead ended up in the kitchen.
She backtracked from the kitchen,
only to end up in the dining hall,
where she had just had a nice meal,
but everyone else was gone.

There were no guards around
to help her out-
not a soul to be seen in this large,
bricked house.

She tried one more time
to make it back to her room
but this time ended up in the dungeon.

Here, at least, there were people,
but they all scared her too much
for her to ask for directions.

She scurried back up
the wrong flight of stairs
only to find the castle gardens.

The gardener was
no more knowledgeable than she,
and provided no help to the lost little girl.

At long last, she heard a familiar voice-
the King, her father, calling out her name.
"You really are a great hider,"
proclaimed the King,
and the girl ran to her father
to be safe once again.
