When I moved to a new City, my boss told me about The Tunnels - I took my bike for a ride
Tunnels

I rode through the tunnels,
The wind in my hair,
The darkness snapping at my heels;
I was almost blind.
The damp air glittered on my skin,
I could hear the tyres upon stone,
Sliding across
That darkness within.

I rode through the tunnels.
I never knew where they would lead;
An underground cavern,
A magical place
In which I still believed.

Through the tunnels I rode,
Out of that darkness,
Into the light.
The sky shone wondrous,
The trees a brilliant green,
Sun’s rays glittering on my skin -
I disappeared,
Towards a story
About to begin.
