Poem for Writer's Cramp - The Silent Crisis: Loneliness in a World Full of People.
Lost and confused
Lonely in a crowd
Unable to speak
My thoughts out loud

Happy people
Chatting all around
Yet with me
No words can be found

I tell myself
I like it this way
With people
What would I say

And yet somehow
I feel all alone
And as I've aged
The feeling has grown

People I know
Misunderstand me
They always look
But rarely see

I hide my true self
Way down deep inside
So no one will know
Just how hard I tried
