A wife turns on her husband--he never saw it coming.

Freshly falling snow
crisp upon the frozen streets;
soiled as time flies
akin to love that dies.

Sullied, dark and angry tones
heard above the basement floor,
where the wood, now left to rot,
is no longer good nor sought.

When love dies, life stands still;
the Earth is slow to turn.
Crying grows as tears descend;
one man has lost his only friend.
