She uses the wrong needle.

I walked into the lab one day
where I encountered Nurse Crochet.
She was a sight at which to stare;
red rosy cheeks, orange-reddish hair.

I found out she was on a break,

(the bio-lab was her escape.)
She held up clumps of Chunky yarn;
I had to utter, “I’ll be darn.”

The hypodermic in her hand
was hard for me to understand.
A cardigan her goal, she said,
to crochet for her uncle Fred.

“I don’t know much about this craft,”
I said to her as I then laughed.
“But I doubt looping will survive
using needle size 25.”
